Session Template: Alignment on Strategy Elements
Aligning on the Product’s Mission, Vision and Strategic Directions doesn’t have to be a tedious process;
If you ever need better clarity in your Product team and key stakeholders about these strategic elements, this is a 1h activity you could do together;
Keep in mind that Mission, Vision and Strategic Directions are decision making enablers. Better clarity in (and around) the Product team enables faster, higher quality Product decisions.

Here’s a visual vocabulary for Product teams;
You can use it to make “Buy / Build / Partner” decisions for having the capabilities needed to develop a great product for your users;
Hire someone with capabilities in the areas that you need, as a Product team;
And/or develop the needed capabilities in your current team;
And/or partner with a consultant or contractor to temporarily cover the needed capabilities (usually while hiring and/or developing them inside the team).
